originally, £4000 was set aside to support 20 individual households across antrim and newtownabbey with a £200 contribution towards home heating oil. however, within a very short space of time, we were overwhelmed by applications from people facing real financial hardship following christmas, the ongoing high cost of living, and a prolonged spell of bitterly cold weather.

the level of need meant that applications had to be closed after just one day of what was originally planned as a two-week window.

determined to respond where we could, the foundation added an additional £1000 to the fund, ensuring that a further 5 households received much-needed support.
